So i tried to turn off DEP completely using the "bcdedit.exe /set {current} nx AlwaysOff" command, but this is useless too. in 2003 as a place for answers to common computer and technical questions. Using the site is easy and fun. This seems to be an issue with some AMD brand processors. DEP is a increadably buggy workaround for a poorly working OS. what should i do so i can use msn, without turning DEP off?

This was right on target. This all started after I upgraded to IE 8. Numbers too: the instructions that tell the computer what to do are simply numbers. After reading everyone elses post I did not know it would be that easy!!!!
