Symptoms. Oh God! I first listened to the beeps of the system and matched the Diagnostic Codes (A-D) with the dell website. This appears to be a hardware related problem.
I don't have any RIMMs to substitute (RIMM tech was not popular). Further investigation reveals that the case/CPU fan runs, power supply fan runs, the hard disk briefly spins. Thanks for your input so far. howard_hopkinso, I did not remove the ram.

I did quickly also look up the information of the computer and the new memory and it does seem to match so that shouldn't be an issue. If you received that error with the Ram installed , then I would suspect either ; You purchased the wrong ram (Dell uses proprietary components) Double check their recommended parts list.
